Jakarta Socializes RPP on Creative Economy for Post-pandemic Economic Recovery

The Jakarta administration has made various efforts in the context of post-pandemic national economic recovery.

That's why the seminar becomes a very good means to share knowledge and share experiences of all stakeholders

It is manifested in a discussion on legal certainty in the form of a Draft Government Regulation (RPP) on the Creative Economy. The RPP is prepared as one of the government's implementation efforts in realizing the development of a creative economy that is conducive to the community and supports creative creators in Indonesia in their work.

Therefore, the seminar/socialization of the RPP was held at The Westin Hotel, South Jakarta on Tuesday (3/1). It was attended by Kemenparekraf Regulation Director, Sabartua Tampubolon; Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Head, Andhika Permata; and Ekraf Committee Chair, Diaz Hensuk.

Disparekraf Head, Andhika Permata who was one of the speakers at the seminar disclosed that Jakarta became a gathering place for rock stars, creative creators, and creative economy activists.

"That's why the seminar becomes a very good means to share knowledge and share experiences of all stakeholders thus it can enrich the RPP," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Friday (3/4).

It also discussed one of the mandates that must be carried out from Law 24/2019 on Creative Economy Development, which is related to the facilitation of Intellectual Property-Based Financing and Marketing.

The administration also consistently keeps intensifying collaboration to hold creative events in the pandemic situation. By doing so, in the future, the RPP needs to collaborate with all elements of the pentahelix to boost the development of the creative economy in the capital.

It was also in line with the 2018-2025 Creative Economy Development Master Plan and Law 24/2019 on the Creative Economy.

As for the information, Creative Economy is the embodiment of added value from intellectual property originating from human creativity based on cultural heritage, science, and/or technology.

Increasing the added value of the Intellectual Property of creative creators is fundamental in developing the creative economy. This strategic step in stimulating the development of the creative economy can be realized through access to financing and capital, as well as the marketing of intellectual property-based products.
